BLACK SWAN

Project - Hospitality

2024 - BEIJING

"There's no illusion of three-dimensional space but there is plenty of time: light time, because they change throughout the day.” — Gary Hume on ‘Swans’ (2022).

If the right light finds it, the swan can be found everywhere in everything. Amplifying the subtle beauty, when nature and art converge is usually gifted with patience, CSS engineer the phenomenon through thoughtful execution.

In Chinese culture the “black swan” has come to signify something incredibly rare. The something rare of this project is an approach to details that makes a place out in the open feel like a secret whispered, faintly uttering elegance and excellence in ode of its moniker-muse.
