Defining the neo-elegance is a collaborative act, Chris Shao Studio designs are for the far-sighted and inspired.
Guided by founder Chris Shao, the studio’s designs hold art and design simultaneously. “We give the work context” Shao affirms. The interior designer and gallerist funnels his industry know-how into his studio practice, blurring the lines separating them. Shao opens clients to some of contemporary design’s most notable, facilitating bespoke accents and one-of-one commissions.

Chris Shao obtained his dual bachelor's degrees in international business and marketing from the prestigious University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris. In 2015, despite lacking an undergraduate background in design, he was admitted to the New York School of Interior Design, which is ranked first in the United States for its graduate programs in interior design. "I am not only an interior designer, but also a storyteller," Chris remarked, signaling the beginning of his narrative through design in New York. In 2020, Chris was recognized as one of Forbes' 30 Under 30.
