THE ONE

Project - Residence

2026 - GUANGZHOU

Clean lines reinterpret traditional moon gates and latticed windows, while red walls and grey tiles establish a quiet, elegant foundation. Generous white space evokes the spirit of ink painting, drawing visitors through a sequence of light-framed views. Abstracted patterns and planted vignettes add texture and life, creating an immersive environment where classical garden philosophy meets contemporary spatial design.

The furnishings extend this narrative of framed views and wandering. Clean-lined seating with rectilinear silhouettes echoes the architecture's geometric restraint. Upholstery pairs textural cotton velvets with lustrous silk accents in deep reds and blues—a subtle nod to the red walls and grey tiles. Polished metal details introduce lightness, cutting through the gravity of dark stained wood. A central double-sided sofa anchors the space while introducing fluid movement, creating a quiet dialogue with the stillness of the architectural frames. Together, they shape a contemporary retreat that feels both cultivated and comfortably lived-in.
