Some consider gardening a lesson in grace; composed with restraint, this Guangzhou slows to a pace alien to modernity in celebration of nature and its inescapable demand for patience. Architectural classics are paid tribute, reorienting and reimagining traditional Roman-era lattice windows and the iconic moon gate (a symbolic architectural element found in Chinese gardens).

Articulating the design direction spatially and figuratively, the frame becomes motif and binding agent. Plain and abstract impressions unify and link areas of the home: placed and positioned to envelope dwellers with comfort, and privacy. Furniture silhouettes delineate areas facilitating intimate interactions without sacrifice to function.

White space and clean lines deepen the impact of sleek metals, dark timbers and striking bursts of color. Roots of additional meditations on gardening are buried through the concept: frame and plot replicas in geometry; fresco-style murals, meandering floral patterns. Ornate details imitate the untamed beauty only the finest gardeners master with precision and attention.
