Embedded in Beijing’s buzzing Sanlitun district, Hidden Dragon is equal parts spectacle and cocktail bar. Walking a tightrope of play and luxe, East and West audaciously collide blending cultural symbols and design motifs. Inspired by the lavish aesthetics of 18th-century Chinoiserie and Rococo styles. Guests are dared to step into a world where old-world opulence toys with modern irreverence.

 

Suspended at the heart of this double-height space, a monumental dragon sculpture is the pièce de résistance. Opened in 2024 (Year of the Dragon), the dragon is a wink and smile to Western perceptions of Chinese symbols. The sculpture combined craft and technology, drawn by hand in our studio to begin, modelled and 3D printed piece by piece.
